    Default 20 mm x 139 DM138

    Hello good morning all.

    I have a question about a ammunition box for 20mm x 139 cartridges.
I do not know the DM number of this box.
The article number AT 12, I know, these are the telescopic blanks DM128.

But the DM128 cartridges come from the -RHU Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH., Ratingen / Unterlüß
(Formerly operated as Rheinmetall Wehrtechnik GmbH

And this manufacturer of the DM 138 is - PSH Pyrotechnik Silberhütte GmbH., Silberhütte (subsidiary of Rheinmetall Waffen Munition GmbH

Has anyone ever seen such a 20mm patrone?

I have two boxes now in my collection.
One out of 2012 and one out of 2013.
Could this be a text error of an ammunition deposit?

    Greetings Ramon

The difference is one kilo of ammunition weight.
There is a linked belt of fifty cartridges in both boxes.

As we discussed at the meeting I am still surprised to see the lot of "PSH". The differing weight may result from the different cartridge models. And if the cartridge weight is identical it may be differing internal spacing/locking material used.

    Hello good morning X

I've looked at it here at home. And the difference is in the ammunition box. The DM138 box weighs 9.3 kilos. And the DM128 box weighs 9.5 kilos.
The flexible shot is mounted differently in the DM138 kiste. This has been done with lighter matrials.
I checked the contents of the munitionskiste by the September 2000 munitionsmerkblatt and cartridges from my collection.
The geschossnachbildung of the DM128 is in the munitionsmerkblatt as 78 grams, which I checked and I came in a weight of 68 grams.
With a new, unfired projectile from 1997.
The older variants from 1992 to 1993 weighed 71 grams.

    DM 138
    1 x 9.3 kilo kiste
    50 x 140 gr húlse DM1323A1
    50 x 16 gr pulver
    50 x 2,4 gr zundhutchen
    50 x 68 gr geschoss
    50 x 46 gr gurt DM10A1

    22,92 kilo

Ok, so only the "PSH" issue remains...
