This is the Russian PFM-1 "butterfly"-antipersonnelmine. It is scattered by for instance a clusterbomb or a rocket.
Cheers,
Ammotech

The cyrillic U on the body of the mine in question indicates that it's not live ordnance. The version PFM-1S has a cyrillic S marking to indicate the presence of a self-destruct mechanism. The PFM-1 series was copied from the US BLU-42 "Dragontooth" scatterable mine. However, I don't know if it was copied only externally as the technology of BLU-42 is unknown to me.

PFM-1 arms itself within 1-10 minutes after dispensing and it's loaded with a liquid explosive called VD-6.

Genaugenommen ist dies ein Streubehälter für Luftfahrzeuge.

LOL

It is actually an aircraft dispenser and not a container to be fired with.

Danke, Herr x! Do you know if the dispenser is droppable or non-droppable?

The dispenser is inside a payload container which goes on pylons, as far as I know the dispenser as on the images is just ejecting the PFM-1's when they are inside a rack (2nd image they are left and right of dispenser) which has a pyrotechnical lock.
