    Default mcz S30rp

    Hallo,
I ask You for help again
I am looking for a photo of czechoslovak mech time fuze mcz S30rp. It differs from the other S30 fuzes that it has an integrated detonator safety mechanism. Unlike fuzes with VDM detonator safety the S30rp body and detonator safety is made of one piece (see pic).

    Thanks, Bob

This detonator safety looks exactly the same as the T-5's

It is actually the T-5 S&A unit since this ia acopy of the Russian VM-30 series which consists of a Zt.Z.S/30 with the T-5's S&A unit attached.

Actually after 1945 the Russians used (officially!) captured German Zt.Z.S/30 with a specially made adaptor booster which had exactly this S&A unit. It was used to adapt the German fuze to Russian 85mm AA ammo which had a different thread.
When the stocks of German fuzes were exhausted the Soviets started to produce copies of the Zt.Z.S/30 as TM-30, still with German thread in M50x3 and used with that adaptor. Then when they realized that this was nonsense they unified all components and made the VM-30 series.

Yes, similar evolution process was in Czechoslovakia. The czechoslovak armed forces used 85mm, 100mm and 130mm soviet AA guns and 88mm and 105mm german Flak. The VDM detonator safety was used for ammunition manufactured in CS for soviet models with german and czech made fuzes.

There will be a presentation at INMEP 2011 in may (that is the reason I need the photo).
When finished I will ask the author for permision to post it here.
