    Default Soviet 250 mm 3R-7 "Korrshun" rocket HE warhead

    Dear Forum?

    Could somebody identify this? Maybe a soviet 2
    50 mm 3R-7 "Korrshun" rocket HE warhead? Total length: 592 mm

    This in Hungary, Kecel in a military-equipment-park. The owner of the item the Hungarian Military Museum.

    249 mm, measured not on the "ring". What do you think about the "ring"?

    The ring looks like a part of a later add-on fixture. Maybe like in museums used (with struts to the ground) so dumb people can not drop it on their feet.

    Aside from the measured diameter, your warhead's shape is almost exactly the same as the M-24F. What do you think?

    Hi Vince,

    yes, maybe you have right, but the base plate not the same as your drawing, and I did not see that the warhead made from two pieces. But I think too, it is not a "Korshun" warhead. The main problem is the diameter, and the "ring".

    How about te chemical version, the MS-24? I haven't seen any manual, but that should be a 2-piece design.
